With only a few weeks left in this Congress, time is running out to make sure Puerto Rico needs are not overlooked!

Our federal government has a moral and legal responsibility to help the people of Puerto Rico recover from compounded climate events just as it would help any other group of people on U.S. soil. Although billions of dollars in federal funds were eventually allocated for the island’s recovery, much more needs to be done. We must ensure those dollars go to the most vulnerable and used for creating a resilient future for Puerto Rico.

Our top priority asks of THIS CONGRESS to pass before the end of the year include:

Avert Puerto Rico’s looming Medicaid cliff and ensure adequate Medicaid funding.

$5 billion to the Department of Energy for rooftop solar and storage solutions for low-income households and people with disabilities.

Include $1 billion in critical supplemental nutrition assistance for Puerto Rico in the FY23 appropriations package.
